Robert James Rooke was born on October 6th 1993 in Edmonton Alberta. He was exposed to music at an early age and started playing electric bass at age 11. Robert then picked up the guitar at age 13 and never looked back. He started writing songs at the same time and won the local contest “Chestermere Idol” with an original song.

Inspired after hearing Stevie Ray Vaughan’s version of Little Wing, Robert devoted himself to learning the blues from trying to emulate the likes of SRV, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Bonamassa and John Mayer. Over time Robert’s musical interests expanded and he attended Mount Royal University to obtain a diploma in Jazz Guitar Performance. After graduation of Mount Royal, Robert attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood California during the summer of 2015. Some notable groups that Robert has played with as a guitarist are The Mocking Shadows, Leaving Thomas, JK and The Relays, Meta Mofo and Ellen Doty.

After returning to Calgary from Hollywood, Robert harkened back to his song writing roots and self-released his first EP entitled The Road. The Road is a collection of rock, blues and country compiled together in an expression of all Roberts influences.
